by train:
Get to Freiburg main station (for international visitors: not Fribourg (Switzerland). From there, take the tram line No. 3 towards “Zähringen” and get out at either “Hauptstraße” or “Okenstraße”.
by plane:
The closest airport is Basel/Mulhouse Euroairport. From there you can take a Flixbus shuttle (exit on the French side) or a bus/train connection (exit on the Swiss side). In both cases, you will arrive at Freiburg main train station. From there, take the tram line No. 3 towards “Zähringen” and get out at either “Hauptstraße” or “Okenstraße”.
Alternatively, especially when coming from oversea, Frankfurt or Zürich airport would be the next alternatives (both about 2,5 hours on train away).
by car:
You better don’t! We have hardly any parking around and this is quite costy. If you need to come by car, set your navigation device to “Schänzlestrasse 1, Freiburg”.
Whatever transportation you take (and we always prefer trains over planes), your are more than welcome to visit us.
